This aromatic tea is a Japanese method of processing tea by decoction viz., its beverage is made from deep steamed leaves. Our fine tea leaves are hand-picked during the season ‘First Flush’ (mid March to mid April), then steamed for between 30-45 seconds as early as they are harvested to prevent the oxidation of the leaves and lightly rolled, shaped and dried. This tea has golden/neon green liquor and light and vegetal/green aroma bordering between ‘better sweet’ in taste. It is high in antioxidants and has numerous health benefits as found by tea experts and health researchers, in Japan, Sencha is a very popular drink and drunk hot in winter and chilled in the summer.
One can enjoy both the astringency and sweetness of tea in a cup of Sencha Green Tea.
